James Litai has been a graduate of economics and social science with a bachelor's degree in education from the Papua New Guinea University of Goroka in 2002. He hails from the village of Sakarip in the Wabag District of Enga Province. He now resides at Sir Tei Abal Secondary School survived by his wife Ronny and his four children.
