LAS VEGAS - In "Six Old Crows" (published by Trafford Publishing), author J.P. Martin's new novel, seven friends show readers what true friendship means.
"Lasting friendships are sometimes formed in unusual ways," says Martin. "This story shows how this can happen. Buses and trains take us places, but they sometimes bring us together. And once we are together ... Well, you'll see."
Readers will join seven young men as their personal stories are woven into the tapestry of the American experience. Friendships, acts of kindness and brotherhoods are tested and tried throughout "Six Old Crows" as each character confronts a different obstacle that tests their honor and character.
An excerpt from "Six Old Crows":
"I guess you could say this story begins in the Greyhound bus station in Omaha, Nebraska.
A lovely spring day greeted those people getting off the bus.
'Excuse me, is this seat taken?' asked the young man, pointing to an empty seat next to the fellow sitting near the back of the bus.
'No, I think the guy who was sitting there got off here . . . in . . . what is this, Omaha?' said the fellow seated.
'Yeah, this is my hometown,' said the young man, as he sat down. 'My name is Hank Tyson, and you are?'"
