In "Give God Something He Can Feel: A 30 day devotional challenge for devoted Christians" (published by WestBow Press), author J.L. Turner's new devotional guide, readers are given a challenge to become the best Christian they possibly can be.
Turner believes that the general populace of Christians has grown complacent in their love of God. "I have noticed complacency in believers," says the author, "and felt they needed a challenge in their walk with God and intimacy with him." This feeling pushed him to create a devotional that would, in turn, push the reader to challenge themselves mentally, physically and spiritually. Turner hopes his devotional will foster a new generation of Christians to look deeper into their relationships with the Lord.
Within "Give God Something He Can Feel," Turner touches on forgiveness, love for enemies, sacrificial love, repentance, submission to the spirit and a deeper commitment to God-given purpose. He also brings to light how many Christians, in his mind, have an absence of growth in their lives. With all the information laid out in front of them, Turner knows readers will "walk away having examined their own walk with God and with the idea that they do not need to be perfect but progressively grown in Christ Jesus" after reading his book.
