Actress, director and content producer Jennifer Kopelman is saving the planet one child at a time with "Jambo's Journey" (published by Xlibris). Kopelman has enjoyed many adventures on and off the stage, but she considers mentoring children to be her greatest role. Kopelman's passion is to help children shine. She perfected her craft over a decade and, in the process, reached thousands of children through her award-winning performing arts schools.
Now she has turned her attention toward endangered species and saving the planet. Her book "Jambo's Journey" is a creative and heartwarming story with a valuable message. Jambo, an endangered hoopoe bird goes on a globetrotting mission with his best friends. Team Jambo includes Java the Bengal tiger, Soleil the Mediterranean monk seal, Tex the Houston toad, Nanuk the Polar bear, Poco the spider monkey, Whiskers the manatee, and Vicki the pygmy possum. "Jambo's Journey" also reaches out to the atypical child. Vicki's brother, Victor, is on the autism spectrum. These global ambassadors enlist every child to join Team Jambo.
"Every child is needed on the team", says Kopelman. "As a mother and teacher, helping children find their voice, their place in the world and how they connect to the planet is my life purpose. I want to share my determination to help the planet. I want to communicate to children that one small act of kindness daily will make a big difference. This message is a call to action."
Accompanied by vibrant illustrations, this is a timely and engaging book that discusses some of today's most important environmental issues in a manner that appeals to young children. Readers will learn and have fun as they follow "Jambo's Journey."
