"Hidden in the thirty-one verses of Genesis 1 is a message so powerful it could ultimately change the disastrous course of global events we are currently pursuing," says Kent. He argues that the creation story of Genesis 1 is consistent with "geologic history of earth and the evolution of its inhabitants."
Observing that many people are developing a lack of trust in religion and view terrorism as one of the most visible simulacrums of faith, Kent hopes to redirect readers to a faith-based morality and "develop a spiritual base." Additionally, the author asks if science is intended to help people live better lives, "why then are there so many life-threatening environmental issues, modern health scourges, and menacing weapons designed to annihilate us?"
