This young adult novel is about six children on the eve of middle school graduation. As a couple of disturbed students create a plan that disrupts the entire neighborhood and put the lives of many townsfolk in danger, an exceptional few rise above and risk their lives to protect the people they love and discover what it means to be a real hero. These entangled stories describe how the characters choose to rise above or stumble on the path ahead.

"My characters, although purely fictional, are burdened by the complexities of life in 2017," Noble shares. "The story speaks to the youth of today and offers hope and the opportunity to turn things around for kids who feel they have none."

Written in a candid tone, the book presents relatable characters and intriguing plots for all ages. It touches on prevalent issues that the youth today are facing. This includes drug problems, rampant misuse of firearms, mental disorder, bulimia, severe neglect and single parent issues, to name a few.

Through the book, the author hopes to remind young readers who are going through the struggles of home and school life that they are not alone. When asked what she wants to convey in her writing, Noble says, "That there is always a chance to be a hero. A chance to inspire and support those we care about, and even those we don't. That forgiveness is important to help us move forward in life. That we are all different, but more similar than we think."
