Author Irene Pedregon's "The Adventures of Spunky and Spuds" (published by iUniverse) tells the tale of two puppies that must learn some important lessons about the world around them in order to be safe.

Spunky and Spuds are two special puppies. Spuds is calm and does what he is supposed to do, but Spunky is adventurous, troublesome and curious. They have fun and run and play - and Spunky loves to explore and get into mischief.

The puppies enjoy going to the doggy park with their owners, Will and Connie, and their mother, Raisin. Spunky and Spuds know they should listen to their mother and not run into the street, but Spunky gets excited and forgets. The puppies know they shouldn't talk to strangers either, but when Spunky sees a boy from the neighborhood, his curiosity gets him into trouble. When Bruno, a dog who doesn't listen to his parents, comes to visit, Spunky may find himself in a bad situation.

Hoping to get her book in more children's hands, Pedregon is launching a new marketing push for "The Adventures of Spunky and Spuds."
