Innate Human Flaws Explained in THE SUMMIT

In Friedmut Wilhelm's new book, The Summit, he depicts his lively journey in pursuit of answering such a fundamental question. Through observations of both life in Marxist East Germany and capitalist Canada, the Lutheran minister details his theory of two inherited strains of genetic makeup: the suicidal/genocidal and compulsive hunter and gatherer. The Summit explores and analyses Wilhelm's research of the root cause of man's inherent flaws caused by the birth of thought.
"In an effort to show how much I truly appreciate this beautiful earth, I wanted to present my research of how wounded mankind is from the creation of the self-conscious," says Wilhelm. "I traveled back to my roots in East Germany and then Ethiopia to converse with the oldest woman ever, Lucy. I explain our exploration of pre and modern humanity and the moment we distanced ourselves from innate senses."
Throughout this manifesto the author calls for a healing of mankind's wounded psyche through a global educational effort of orientation and bridge building.
"Born during WWII, I learned early on to be critical of societies and tried to learn as much as I could," says Wilhelm. "This book was written as a reply to Professor E.O.Wilson's book: The Creation. Going beyond his approach I promised to look for clues of what caused our problems in the first place."
Aiming to educate the citizens of tomorrow on creating a cohesive global future, Wilhelm explains how a new charter of love and compassion will cultivate human's innate capabilities like empathy, biophilia, love and compassion in all their forms.

Friedmut Wilhelm currently is a minister of the Lutheran Church in Edmonton, Alberta. He graduated from Humboldt University in Berlin and immigrated to Canada in 1979.
