IAN & ELI Details Lives of Near-Identical Twins

Gauthier is a close friend of, and lawyer for, the Gehardi family. Through Ian and Eli's (pronounced "Ellie") personal journals, the journals belonging to their mother and father - Lisa and Hans - and the Gehardi medical records, Gauthier documents Ian and Eli's lives and what they endured because of their identical likenesses. The twins display abilities outside the normal limits of human development. Their hearts are synchronized and they share a love for each other that normal boy-girl relationships typically can't deal with. Ian and Eli choose to live together as life partners, and are presented with the opportunity to adopt a baby girl, whose heart they discover matches their synchronized heartbeats.
