After conducting research on the Jewish faith and the country of Israel, author Ashkan Tashakkori found that many countries, organizations and governments falsify information about these two topics.
In Tashakkori's new book, "I Wish I Were a Jew" (published by Archway Publishing), he discusses what he believes is a distorted picture of the Jewish people, which he feels has become a dominant view of the religious group in Islamic countries.
"This book will explain to readers all the facts that they need to know about the Jewish nation and the country of Israel from the perspective of a non-Jewish author," Tashakkori says. "Its intention is to expose all the lies about the Jewish nation that have been prevalent for so long."
Tashakkori's goal is to rebuild a friendship between Iran and what he refers to as the "Jewish nation." He says this rekindled friendship could spell a more peaceful and beneficial life for future generations, especially those in Iran, Israel and other Muslim countries.
