When life is a struggle, faith sometimes falters. It's important to have an antidote ready to reignite passionate belief in God.
Author Sue Huston hopes to offer that antidote through her new book, "I Know God is Alive: He's in My Kitchen." It is a collection of true stories of answered prayer that shows hopeful Christians that God has an active role in the world today and always hears a prayer.
"These are true stories of prayer being answered," Huston said. "Sometimes God answers with a caveat, and sometimes his answer is 'no'. But an important part of faith is recognizing that there is always a reason, and there is always an answer."
Not every prayer will be answered with a miracle, though some may. Accepting that God always knows what is best can be a difficult part of faith, but one that is important to growth as a Christian.
For those who have become complacent in their prayer life, Huston seeks to renew their energy as they commune with God.
