Hudson Booksellers Names the Best Books of 2015

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Oct. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ Hudson Booksellers, a brand unit of travel retailer Hudson Group, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Dufry AG of Basel, Switzerland, has announced its list of the Best Books published in 2015. Hudson is one of the most prominent book retailers in the country, successfully operating 60 full-service bookstores and over 400 Hudson and Hudson News travel convenience stores in airports and transportation terminals throughout North America, while also selling books online at www.HudsonBooksellers.com.

As in the past, this year's selection includes the 10 Best Fiction, 10 Best Nonfiction, 5 Best Business Interest and 20 Best Young Reader titles, selected through a nominated shortlist and voting process by a panel of Hudson's professional booksellers across the country. Books were selected for achievements ranging from literary style and innovation, entertainment value and readability, to timeliness and treatment of subjects and themes.

Ghettoside: A True Story of Murder in America by Jill Leovy, received the most votes across all categories and will be featured as Book of the Year. Matt Comito, VP of Book Operations, says: "Using individual cases to tell a grim story, Leovy manages to personalize and bring immediacy to her analysis of a cycle of violence that ravages the community."

Complimentary "Best Books" brochures will be available to customers in Hudson stores from Thanksgiving through the holiday book buying season. The brochures feature reviews and Bookseller Top 10 lists. A selection of the Best Books of 2015, highlights from previous years' selections, Bookseller Top 10 features, and Bestsellers from 2015 will be prominently displayed in most Hudson Booksellers and Hudson News stores beginning around November 24 th.
