The Association of English-language Publishers of Quebec (AELAQ) & Quebec Writers' Federation (QWF) present Holiday Pop-Up Book Fair 2017
This free, two-day celebration of Quebec English-language books is back! The Holiday Pop-Up Book Fair encourages booklovers of all ages and interests to browse, buy and get books signed, just in time for holiday gift-giving. With publishers and authors on hand, expect hundreds of new titles for sale by local writers including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, books for kids, award-winners and bestsellers.
Saturday, Nov. 25: 12-6 pm
4-6 pm: Festive wine and cheese with special guest Kathleen Winter, Governor General's Literary Award nominee for Lost in September
Sunday, Nov. 26: 11- 5 pm
2-3 pm: Rapid-Fire Readings, Ricochet Writing, mRbilia Edition:
20 writers celebrate 20 years of the Montreal Review of Books (mRb) by reading -and writing- right before your eyes...
For this fun event, twenty authors keep things hopping by reading for only two minutes each. While each writer is reading, the next writer adds a sentence or two to a collectively created text that will be read aloud.
