In "NewBorn: A Modern Fable" (published by Balboa Press), author Heather Salmon's inspirational new book, readers are taken through a journey of introspection and transformation - a journey that will allow them to see that their destiny is in their hands alone.

"Every human being alive has only one thing in common - incubation in the womb," says Salmon. "Birth is the original separation that we, as humans, spend the rest of our lives coming to terms with. Typically, this means an ongoing search to find the perfect someone or something to complete our lives."

Throughout "NewBorn," Salmon argues that humanity will never find this connection outside of themselves. The connection must first be found within themselves before they can find it in someone else. As readers progress through this innovative look at humanity, they will "find their true essence and connect with it, which will shine a light in their world," Salmon writes.

An excerpt from "NewBorn":

"Mr. and Mrs. Hopeful loves their baby island as they had loved nothing before. They cleaned and tidied it every day. They loved to make it look pretty and basked in the admiring glances and open compliments they receive from all around them. Nothing was too much trouble for NewBorn. They wanted their baby island to be the best island in the whole wide world."

"Share NewBorn's journey from birth to maturity, from innocence, through disillusionment, to the pure freedom of knowing and loving self," says Salmon. "This transformation is available to you, too."
