"Zack's Choice," the ninth book by Louisiana author and award-winning poet Harry E. Gilleland, Jr., has now been published as an e-book and is now available at Amazon's Kindle Store. The novel, which is in the crime/heist genre, tells a contemporary story about Zackery Gresham, who is a young man with his life all planned. However, while traveling through New Mexico, Zack has a chance encounter with a strange hitchhiker. The resulting chaos will bring Zack face-to-face with a choice that could alter the course of his life.

Zackery Gresham, the book's main character, is a sophomore at Yale University. His life is all planned. Zack's mother is a lawyer; his father is a federal judge; and Zack is Pre-Law at Yale. After Zack graduates from Yale, he will attend Harvard Law School to follow in both of his parents' footsteps. Once he graduates from Law School, Zack will join his mother's prestigious law firm and marry his long-time girlfriend. He is assured of a successful career as a lawyer. However, during a school break, Zack takes a once-in-a-lifetime motorcycle trip through the southern states. In New Mexico, he has a chance encounter with a strange hitchhiker, who presents Zack with a fascinating story that leads Zack to face a choice that could alter his life forever.

Author Bio: Harry E. Gilleland, Jr. is 69 years old and a southerner by birth and by inclination. Born and raised in Macon, Georgia, he now resides in Shreveport, Louisiana with his beloved wife, Linda. Harry retired in 2004 from a career as a Professor of Microbiology at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport and now devotes himself full-time to his writing. A writer of both poetry and prose, Harry has now published his ninth book.
