NEW YORK

Theresa Cusmano's new children's book, "Hoppy My Dog" (published by AuthorHouse) introduces readers to Hoppy, a mischievous 6-year-old Maltese poodle with curly, light brown fur.

Hoppy lives with his family in Staten Island, New York. Cusmano's book takes readers through Hoppy's home, room by room. It documents Hoppy's antics through photos of the real Hoppy and one of his owners, Nicholas.

"Hoppy is unique, lovable and very precious," Cusmano says. "I want readers to be happy and laugh. I want them to love Hoppy just as much as my family and I do."

Appealing to both children and adults, "Hoppy My Dog" depicts the many funny situations and weird places Hoppy finds himself in offering readers an enjoyable source of entertainment.

Cusmano hopes her story will encourage readers to adopt their own "man's best friend."

About the Author
Theresa Cusmano was born on October 30, 1962, in New York City. She was one of eight children. She began writing poetry in high school and stories in her spare time. She started writing after telling her firstborn child stories at bath time. Every night she would tell magnificent stories about dogs and princesses and snow babies with puppy dogs pulling sleds. "Hoppy My Dog" came to life because her children liked her stories so much.
