Corruption, fraud and criminality are constantly at work. They thrive in the shadows, unchallenged and uncontested, unless someone drags them into the light to expose their duplicity. With nearly four decades working in federal government, author Ruth Barrett explores this concept in her novel "High Jinks in High Places."

"High Jinks in High Places" shares the story of private investigator Jordan Anderson whose latest case leads her to the government contractor Kingman Corporation. She soon learns that she is not the only one interested in the corrupt organization and encounters George Kilburn, working on behalf of the Senate. The two agree to collaborate in order to uncover the truths that Kingman Corporation has buried. Their mission takes them places they never expected, encountering murder, espionage, terrorism and true love.

"Women can be confident, smart and dangerous when they need to be and Jordan embodies all these qualities," Barrett said. "With High Jinks in High Places, I wanted to showcase these traits in a woman who is fulfilling the role we typically see men portray in movies, books and television. Jordan is a hero, she is the one who can save thousands of lives, fight for justice and get the guy all at the same time."

The second book penned by Barrett, "High Jinks in High Places" demonstrates the fortitude and resolve of one woman's strive for justice and love. For more information on this author please visit http://www.rabauthor.com.
