Nahum 1:3 says of God, "His way is in the whirlwind and in the storm, and clouds are the dust of his feet." This verse inspired author H. Wayne Sampson's new book "Clouds Are the Dust of His Feet!: The Role of Clouds in Scripture: An Example of the General Revelation of God" (published by CrossBooks).

"This book studies the role of clouds in the Bible to determine if they fit into the realm of general revelation," says Sampson. "Anyone who takes the time to look at the beauty of the clouds with their countless forms, shapes and colors and their shifting movements across the sky must surely think or wonder on the mighty Creator."

Sampson writes of the creation of clouds by God, how they are maintained by God and the role of clouds within nature. Sampson also examines the Bible to extract the significance of clouds in the Scriptures, such as when God communicated with and led the Israelites through a pillar of clouds in Exodus.

Sampson hopes that readers will come away from his book with a newfound appreciation for the clouds over their heads.
