The road of life is filled with many twists and turns. Through the many tribulations faced on the long and winding journey, many lessons are learned. It is through these lessons that we have the chance to realize our dreams.

"Danser" by Greg Jolley is the poignant tale of one man's misadventures as he travels from South American to America's heartland in search of sanity, love, meaning and laughter.

"The Danser novel was written to share and to explore what happens to a quiet type of person when she or he makes a drastic change in their lives, expecting an improvement in their happiness," Jolley said.

A vividly written story of self-discovery, "Danser" follows Bill Danser on his travels across the country. From Half Moon Bay to a wheat farm in Kansas, Danser is challenged and finally finds true love. However, is only after tragedy strikes and his life comes full circle that Danser may finally have the chance to realize his dreams.

Readers will be engaged as they are taken through the universal journey of self-discovery along with Jolley's intense and well-developed characters.

"The writing is lyrical and brave and literary, without being precocious or uppity with regard to language used in the writing. The book asks for and establishes the reader's trust in the characters," Jolley said. "With pain there is also laughter - a great amount of it, actually, as many of the befuddled characters live their misadventerous lives."
