In "Silent Bonds" (published by AuthorHouse), author Gray C Knight creates a world where a select group of humans work together with aliens to build the hybrid human-alien. The inspiration for the novel came to Knight while he was engulfed in a long battle with cancer.

"Cancer gave me enough time to put the book all together," recalls Knight. "I visualized many scenes in my mind rather than focus on the treatments I was receiving."

Toronto waitress Charlotte Taylor, Charley to her friends, never understood why her imagination was so active or why she had such powerful dreams at night. When Charley decides to take a trip, she finds herself abducted and thrown into a dangerous plot called "The Chess Game," controlled by the mysterious Mr. Wrightmore and Daman.

Charley becomes the test subject as Mr. Wrightmore, Daman and their alien companions push the boundaries of science to the limits. As the lines between reality and dreams begin to blur, Charley will have to rely on her creativity and resourcefulness if she wants to beat Mr. Wrightmoreand Daman at their own game.

Knight encourages readers to be on the lookout for a sequel. He hopes readers will be "open to the concept that all you think or resonate is recorded and manipulated by those who hold the reins of power in all realms of existence."
