In "The Called Man: Properly Discerning the Call of God on Your Life" (published by WestBow Press), a new book on Christian ministry, Glenn Murphy offers ministers - both new and experienced - a roadmap through the sometimes difficult walk along this higher calling.

"The Called Man" is designed to guide readers through the process of being called to ministry. Murphy traces the path, showing young people that they may have to leave home, to change some things about yourself, to expect some mistreatment and more. "Your calling may require that you sacrifice some things," he explains. "This is a guide that will help you make the necessary transition into ministry gracefully."

An excerpt from "The Called Man":

"You are being called of God for a purpose, for a genuine purpose, for an eternal purpose. You are being called of God to see people saved, healed and delivered in every way by the power of God. It doesn't really matter what you think you are or what you can or cannot do. If God has called you, He will prepare you and equip you. Simply trust Him, then submit your future into His hands."

Murphy relies on passages from the Bible to back his claims and to help guide ministers in their work. "It doesn't matter how old or young, whether you are just starting out in ministry or if you have been in ministry for a long time, you should read this book," he explains. "It will help your spouse, parents and children understand the process of transitioning into ministry."
