NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark.
Author Glen A. Starkey says that he has been an avid fan of automobiles since he was a young boy. He explored his interest by going to car shows and museums and researching the many manufacturers and their histories.
Starkey's passion has now come to a head in the writing of his first book, "Status Symbol: Crossword Puzzles for the Automotive Enthusiast" (published by Trafford Publishing), which details the history of the automobile through a series of crossword puzzles.
"My book will keep people informed about the change and past information on makes of any car they may be interested in knowing about," Starkey says.
In "Status Symbol," Starkey presents readers with a series of crossword puzzles of varying difficulties, all of which focus on historical facts about the automobile industry. He covers makers from the United States as well as those outside of the country, in order to give a complete picture of the industry.
Starkey hopes that his book will not only appeal to automotive buffs, but also create some new ones. He plans on releasing more crossword books, all of which will focus on the automotive industry.
