Gina Sievers Releases First Book in New Children's Series, GRIFF AND THE BASKETBALL

Gina Sievers takes young readers on a fun adventure in her new book, "Griff and the Basketball: from the Adventures of Griff the Dog series" (published by AuthorHouse).

Focused around the lovable character that stars in Sievers' original Griff the Dog series, "Griff and the Basketball" shows what transpires when the always playful Griff happens upon a game of basketball.

Aimed at K through 2nd grade readers, the book sports vibrant illustrations and varying vocabulary levels to aid in increased literacy. Most of all, adds Sievers, it's a great story.

"I believe children of this age will be excited, and feel as if they are in the adventure with Griff," Sievers says. "Griff is funny and happy and children will feel the same way. They will like knowing that by the end of Griff"s adventure, he is back in the security of his own home and bed."

Gina M. Maiorana, know by her pen name, Gina Sievers, has worked as a school bus driver for preschoolers, as well as a classroom aide and recess monitor. She has owned dogs her entire life.
