Gillian Wells wanted to write a book that relates the relationship between animals and humans in a way that children can understand and learn from. This prompted her in writing "The Amazing Adventures of Bub and Tub" (published by Xlibris AU).
This book tells the story of two friends, a small black-and-white dog called Tub and a small gray pony called Bub. The animals talk to each other, but the humans do not understand them. The animals look after the humans, though the humans think it is the other way around. They are always getting into mischief and having adventures.
"Children love reading about ponies and dogs. Many would like to own one so reading about them is the next best thing," Wells says. "This is a simple, easy-to-read book and serves as an escape from the hectic life many of us lead especially the city kids."
Wells had dogs and horses all her life and has lived in the countryside. She hopes "The Amazing Adventures of Bub and Tub" will give joy and happiness for children.
