Gerald G. Money, a.k.a G' Money, presents his autobiography to the global market.
"The Chronicles of the New Jack Era" is the true life journey of the "Original" Gerald G. Money, a Harlem Drug Dealer known as "King of the Wall Street Junkie." From the mid 80's to the mid 90's, every major city to the smallest rural community would experience the drug scourge that engulfed this country, Crack Cocaine. Not even the Heroin epidemic of the 70's would compare to what is now known as the Crack Era. "The Chronicles of the New Jack Era" is the untold story of the "Original" Gerald G. Money, one of the drug dealers loosely depicted in the 1991 Hollywood film "New Jack City," written by G' Money's childhood friend and neighbor, Barry
Michael Cooper.
In this book, G' Money takes us on a crazy ride of survival in a life where redemption is rarely offered and there's
Little Room for forgiveness. He had it all than lost it all then got it back to only lose it again. Gerald longed to fill the emptiness in his heart. His whole life changed when he made his mother a promise upon her death bed that he would leave the street life. And he did. "I recognize that I'm here, alive today because God had mercy on me. He spared my life so many times that even I wonder how I made it out of some situations."
About the Writer
As a teenager, Gerald G. Money began building an empire that would rival any fortune 500 company. He was a natural leader, very popular, and became one of the most recognized names on the street. The Hollywood film "New Jack City" was thought to be a fictitious tale about a drug lord named Nino Brown, his right hand G' Money, and their drug gang CMB; Cash Money Brothers. The movie was so sensationalized that no one would dare think it was based on the lives and deeds of real individuals.
Gerald grew up in an upper middle class family and was offered every opportunity to become whatever he desired. Private schools and hard working parents could not sway him from the darkness and perils of the streets. He became the mastermind behind the Harlem drug game during the day while entertaining as a stand up comic at night. Before he became a drug lord, G' Money was the Master of Ceremony at the world famous
Apollo Theatre. And though he was a first lieutenant on the streets, he was considered a kind of Robin Hood to folks in his community; a perspective not portrayed by Hollywood.
From Gangster to God, Gerald G. Money shares the stories of his life and the good news of his transformation. After years of silence, G' Money is alive and well, and a witness to the power of God's Love.
