Do you need me? "No," I answered so many years ago. "I don't need you to be with you. I want to be with you. There is a difference; one is of necessity, the other of choice. I don't need you to get through life literally. But life together will be so much richer and complete if we choose to do it together." Author George Daniel Harvey thought that his response was honest and thoughtful at that time. He was complete and self-sufficient on a practical level, yet sharing life with another for whom his feelings ran deep would open life beyond the practical-perhaps into the realm of sublime.
The notion of saying yes or no in that instance seemed clear, pragmatic, and sensitive. Yet today, the complexity of his life over the years has helped him to understand that yes and no are powerful precursor words that can and do lend themselves to the quality and outcome of life's journey. He suggests that yes and no are more than what they imply in the moment of utterance. They are more complex dispositions through which people modulate their thought, feeling, and emotion.
In his new publication, Journey to Yes, Harvey offers food for thought. It is all about opening up possibilities to living a deeper, more dimensional life. It speaks to the inner you in you, the inner him in him, which lies more deeply below the surface of everyday life, distraction, impulsivity, and often self-alienation. He talks about the responsibility of one's life, encouraging readers to discover their own truth, live life more fearlessly and find their own way. One has to accept their own responsibility for their salvation. He also shares that the essence of the Divine is within one's self, and there is a need to live in harmony with all of the creation. He inspires mindfulness, stressing the real meaning of forgiveness and finding a Soul Friend.
Inspiring and insightful, Journey to Yes will guide the readers in thought, word and deed through the lens of compassion, to live one's life in greater humility and gratitude centered in the wisdom of a loving heart.
