Geoffrey Caine's latest kindle book, 9 Skills for Listening to Life, clearly introduces the art of deep listening and many practical listening skills anyone can implement within their daily lives. It is a resource to improve communication skills, which heavily impact professional and personal relationships as well as one's pursuit of happiness, success, and inner peace.
The book's foundation is grounded on Mr. Caine's professional research while the passion for the topic stems from a wide array of personal experiences. His main area of professional interest is in human beings' natural learning capacities, which served as the basis for further research into deep listening.
An author and superior educator, Mr. Caine's ongoing mission is to educate about human beings' natural learning capacities. He is the coauthor of nine books, with five major publishers, which all focus on different aspects of learning and education and which are very well received around the world. In May of last year, Mr. Caine was invited to speak at the "Learning and the Brain Conference" in Arlington, VA. Some of the co-sponsors of that conference were the School of Education at Johns Hopkins University, Georgetown University Medical Center, and The Mind, Brain & Education Program at Harvard Graduate School of Education.
Within the context of his expertise in natural learning and education, his further research and exploration in the issue of listening is the major foundation of his recent book.
The issue of deep listening has been a long passion of Mr. Caine's, stemming from a spectrum of personal experiences.
Mr. Caine explains the personal traces that exude throughout 9 Skills for Listening to Life:
"This has been a life long passion. It began when I was a professor of law trying to find the best ways to teach new students. It continued in business when I found myself conducting software training for everyone from realtors to members of the military, and saw how important it was to create good conditions for learning. The need expanded when I came to America and found, based on my work in adult learning and on the great success of a book that I co-wrote with my wife called Making Connections: Teaching and the Human Brain, that educators across the US and across the world wanted some of the insights and strategies that had come my way. The need became more personal when I became the president of our local, rural, chamber of commerce at a time of crisis. And it continues to this day as I find myself yearning for the common ground and shared understandings that deep listening can bring."
In June of this year, Mr. Caine will be delivering the keynote address to a virtual conference for technology educators in colleges throughout the state of Ontario in Canada. They, too, want to know how to integrate technology with human beings' natural learning capacities.
