In his new poetry collection "Journey of a Whispering Heart: Romantic Poetry for Lovers" (published by Trafford Publishing), Jason S. Nino details the painful experiences that he encountered in his search for love. He describes how his young relationships were kneaded with pain. Describing one of his breakups, Nino wrote:

"So the reason for this
Was just to remind myself why.
Why it ended,
Like a beautiful ice sculpture of delicate swans
Being shot, like a revolver to a black-hooded hoodlum,
Melting into a puddle of mushy water and slush,
Why it can never be rekindled.
The same as why a butterfly
can never become a caterpillar again."

One literary reviewer described the book as "... high-spirited, expressive, and energetic;" poet Nino offers his readers an emotional account of the highs and lows of his love experiences as he emerged as a young, homosexual college student. He also describes his struggle in his identity and his journey of acceptance of self:

"After years of living as a mortal,
Is it possible to become a god?
Become one of their kind?
They who pride themselves in themselves,
They who envy those less than them for trivial reasons,
They who strive for perfection when there is no perfection left to seize,
They, the 'utopian,.' the ridiculers of me."

Read the poetry now that a Blue Ink reviewer notes "... will appeal to the sensitive reader who sees (and uses) poetry as a means to get over a devastating break-up."
