PEORIA, Ariz.

After revisiting his hometown, author Gary Welsh's memories were rekindled, including the moments in the vacant lot behind what used to be the house where his grandmother lived. Drawing from imagination and his experiences, he pens a thrilling tale about a murder crime in a small town that affects everyone, especially a family whose young, mischievous boy is too curious for his own good.

"The Reynolds' Lot" (published by Xlibris) follows an 11-year old boy and his staunchly religious grandmother's attempt to solve a murder mystery in their small country town. As they strive to uncover a crime committed 20 years ago, their discoveries disturb the entire town, causing more and more murders to happen.

"There's a lot in this book about how children think, learn and react to life's cruelty," author Welsh explains. "It also breathes of nostalgia with the use of old time telephones, wood and coal burning stoves, bath tubs, no running water and old time religion."

"The Reynolds' Lot" is a suspense-fueled tale that follows a murder mystery that magnetically depicts the days of inconvenience and the lives of people in a small town.
