Gary J. Crawford, the author behind "Immaculate Deception," is set to make a huge splash in the publishing world with his comeback novel titled Double Tap, an action-packed tale of treachery and murder that picks up where the dauntless Sam "Mac" McCloud left off in the previous novel. With an unrelated chain of mystery deaths laid in front of him, he must act without delay to identify the man behind the killings-a deed easier said than done without leads to begin with. Mystery and crime enthusiasts will revel in this imposing work of fiction as the male protagonist finds himself once more in troubled waters with barely a way out.
Private Investigator Mac is enlisted by his police lieutenant friend, Danny Kelly, to investigate the spousal abuse of an employee and her husband's connection to a Modesto gang. In the meantime, Emily Campbell hires him to find her husband so that she may file for a divorce. Mac and his cousin, Sven "Swede" Anderson, the owner of the Downtown Athletic Club, travel to Portland, Oregon, to serve the divorce papers only to become involved in another murder.
A professional assassin seems to be the murderous culprit and the two cases become entwined in a confusing trail of what appears to be strange coincidences. How Mac proceeds to get to the bottom of the case, readers can follow in Double Tap. It is fiction that will lead them to a sinister world of spousal abuse, gang violence, bank robbery and murder.
