The simple yet enchanting story begins with a father tucking his daughter into bed and the daughter's familiar request for a story. The story that follows is that of Ellen and her friend LaLa, the little girl's doll, and their journey in search of a Bassel's Tassel, something that will help Ellen become the princess of Castle Nastle. The journey that the girls undertake and the characters they meet on the way to the castle, make for a lilting storyline.
