Life is not a walk in the park. It has many ups and downs and twists and turns that forever change a man. Author Jim Finn reveals his detailed and motivational memoir, "God's Black Badge". In this book, he shares his story without holding back, revealing the good and the bad times that shaped the man he has become today.

The author grew up in the years when racism is rampant, although he was mostly oblivious to its occurrence. He had privileges that other black kids did not. That shrouded him from the realities that went on around him.

Ever since his conception, God has always blessed him with his guidance and protection. There were many times that he could not understand or rationalize why his situations were eased and the end results were always positive. It took him many years to realize that God's unchanging hand dealt him the necessary cards of life that has carried him from the guttermost to the uttermost. Christian folks always say, "God may not be there when you need him most, but he will not forsake you and he is always there on time."

Through out the highs and lows of his life, he never ceases to believe in Him. He went through too many bad times; most of them were his choice. However, he picked up the pieces of his life together and completely turned everything around when he became a cop-a childhood dream fulfilled. It was the cream ala crème, the first black in the history of Goliad County to become a licensed peace officer. His story also offers insight into police tactics, corruption, adultery and religion according to his personal involvements to these things.

"God's Black Badge" will take readers into one unforgettable journey that gives them a glimpse into the world of law enforcement and the intricacies of relationships.
