Having children is something many couples anticipate with great joy. For gay and lesbian couples, though, it can be a long, frustrating process. But that doesn't have to be the case any longer; Getting to Baby: Creating A Family in the 21st Century is a short film to be featured at the Atlanta Out on Film Festival October 5, 2013. Based on the book by Victoria Collier and Jennifer Collier, Getting To Baby explores every couple's options in fertility treatments, adoption, and surrogacy.

Captivating personal stories, tales of struggles and triumphs, are followed by chapters filled with practical guidance. What Jennifer and Victoria went through during the five years it took to create their family is touching, inspiring, and provides insight on how to create your family.

"I want couples to stop wasting time and money on creating the family they deserve," Victoria says. "If you would like a baby now, but things just are not happening, hang in there - we have the solution!"

Getting to Baby: Creating Your Family Faster, Easier, and Less Expensive through Fertility, Adoption, or Surrogacy will show you how to continue your journey with hope, optimism, and success. Jennifer and Victoria successfully went through the fertility process and then suffered a miscarriage at 17 weeks; they tried adoption and held a baby for two days before returning home empty-handed; and then discovered the secret of success through surrogacy. Katherine and Christopher, beautiful, healthy twins, were born less than 12 months after Jennifer and Victoria met and interviewed their surrogate.

"You don't have to be a celebrity to achieve your dreams of having a family," Victoria continues, "but we can learn from them by observing which options were successful for them. Celine Dion used fertility treatments to have children. Angelina Jolie and Rosie O'Donnell chose to adopt children. An increasing number of celebrities are now choosing surrogacy, including Sarah Jessica Parker, Dennis Quaid, and Sir Elton John."

Victoria Collier is an estate planning attorney and published author. Jennifer Collier was a career prosecutor until their twins were born and she became a stay-at-home mother. For more information, visit the website: www.gettingtobaby.com.
