From the Coalfields of West Virginia to Communist Hungary Image Eric Murphy was an unlikely leader from a small U.S. town. He traveled to communist Hungary to develop a youth camp after the fall of the Iron Curtain. After 40 years as a missionary, pastor and entrepreneur, Murphy decided to share his recipes for success.

In “O Mighty Warrior: Wisdom for Leaders and for Those Who Mentor,” Murphy provides a practical, instructional guide for church staff members, leaders and mentors, who train and regularly encounter difficult situations and obstacles.

“I’ve been there, done that,” Murphy said. “Now it’s time for me to teach young adults how to go there and do that!”

Murphy is the International Director for “Life Impact for Eternity,” a mission focused on impacting youth, and is the former director for Word of Life Hungary, where he served from 1989-2004. He received his bachelor’s degree in Bibles studies from Bob Jones University, Greenville.

“I’ve been told that many things were impossible,” Murphy said, “only to see God provide again and again. These instructions teach young people not only to believe in themselves, but to trust in God, who will give them the power and strength to serve.”
