LEXINGTON, Ky. - S. Jude Peregrine's "From C to Shining C From Cancer to Christ" (published by WestBow Press) is a beautiful and uplifting devotional journal written for those on the journey of cancer to meet their physical, spiritual and emotional needs. This devotional guide shows readers that the best things in life are free and that their relationship and faith in God is the best foundation they can build on including the love for themselves and their families.
To better aid the reader in his or her battle, each chapter of this contains four sections: a reflection which describe the emotions and thoughts experienced by many that have been based on the journey of cancer; Bible verses that are specific to the emotions and thoughts in the reflections; a prayer specific to the reflection; and open spaces to document one's own personal reflections, thoughts and emotions.
For Peregrine, cancer is not just a physical illness. It has, according to her, mental, emotional and spiritual components. For readers, who are facing their own journey with cancer, this book will change how they see and experience everything. This details how cancer created the opportunity for the author to reorganize her life and discover what is really important to her. She seeks to impart that realization to others.
"The journey of cancer does not have to be traveled alone," Peregrine says. "Christ is with you and seeks your best even in this difficult moment. There is light and comfort in knowing God's words, prayers and reflections."

About the Author
At age 38, S. Jude Peregrine was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Like many people who find out they are ill, she went through the standard medical procedure of chemotherapy, surgery, more chemotherapy and radiation. It was year-long journey. It was only because of this enormous struggle that Peregrine has wonderful joy now. She was healed physically, emotionally and spiritually. During her journey, she sought an inspirational guide. It was through God's prompting that Peregrine developed this devotional journal for those experiencing the journey of cancer.
