"French Brunch at Home," from Le Petit Croissant (http://www.lepetitcroissant.com), is an exquisite full-color cookbook written by owner / author Leah Johnson. Off-set printed on matte coated paper, this beautifully photographed volume of tried-and-true recipes inspires bakers of all abilities - and altitudes - to prepare more than 30 classic French treats.

Says Leah: "'French Brunch at Home' features my time-tested recipes for delicious croissants, morning buns, pain au chocolat, scones, brioche, quiche, granola, jams and more. Adjustments for high altitude bakers are included, plus baker's tips, lovely photography, and fascinating histories. I've also included make-ahead instructions so that anyone can prepare a wonderful holiday breakfast for the family in advance. It makes a great gift."

Leah continues: "My goal in writing this book was to create a beautiful cookbook that would inspire bakers of all levels, and all altitudes, to make classic French brunch recipes in the comfort of their own kitchens. In the process, it is my hope that they learn not only that they can actually do this, but also that hand-rolled croissants taste significantly better than those from the grocery store."

"French Brunch at Home" (#FrenchBrunchAtHome) is available just in time for holiday gift-giving. Priced at under $25.00, its step-by-step recipes, illustrative how-to photos, make-ahead tips and more will have readers whipping up scrumptious French-style brunches to celebrate the holidays, special occasions or just the weekend.

"French Brunch at Home" is sure to be welcomed by cookbook aficionados, foodies, oven-averse Francophiles who are content to curl up with a volume that evokes beloved French classics, and avid bakers who thought living at high altitude meant they had to shelve their favorite pastry recipes.

Leah is also announcing a new Facebook group, "Baking 911: Tips, Fails, High Altitude Tricks." Members can ask or answer questions or even share their kitchen "fails" for insight or commiseration. After all, says Leah, "What's brunch at home without a few guests, some shared laughs and interesting conversation?"

"French Brunch at Home" retails for $24.95 and is available for purchase on amazon.com, lepetitcroissant.com and directly from Leah at select local events.

About Leah Johnson & Le Petit Croissant
Leah has been baking since she was a young girl. While other teenagers were experimenting with new outfits, she was experimenting with pate à choux, apple strudel and chocolate soufflés.

After frequent travel throughout France as an adult, she was inspired to replicate the golden brown and shatteringly flaky croissants she had enjoyed every day there for breakfast. Deliciously soft and fluffy on the inside, those croissants had been pure ambrosia when smeared with local apricot jam. She achieved her goal, but then a move to Colorado presented her with a new challenge: baking at 6,300 feet.

In 2014, Leah opened a farmer's market stall called "Le Petit Croissant" in Colorado Springs. Every summer she continues to sell many of the French brunch foods featured in her "French Brunch At Home" cookbook.

"French Brunch at Home" is a book that practices what it preaches. Leah wrote every word at home, for example, and more than half the photos are of her own baking in her own home.
