In addition to a cash prize, each winner's chosen Indiana public library will receive a $2,500 grant from The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation. Since the Award's inception in 2009, selected authors have won a total of $186,000, and selected libraries have received $67,500 in grants.

"It is an honor to recognize the rich, diverse literary talent in our state through the Eugene & Marilyn Glick Indiana Authors Award," said Marianne Glick, Director at the Eugene & Marilyn Glick Family Foundation. "From picture books to novels, Indiana writers continue to create quality work for readers of all ages."

Award nominations were submitted from across the state in early spring. Any published writer who was born in Indiana or who had lived in Indiana for at least five years was eligible. Selected authors were evaluated by a nine-member, statewide Award Panel based on their entire body of work.
