After watching his children progress to college, author Forrest Parker found the motivation to write his inspirational poetry book "Bits & Pieces Love & Words" (published by iUniverse).

Parker says the collection will "broaden the spiritual mind of anyone open to the true being of a living, loving and ever present God."

Written as a "call for reality and a check-in on basics", "Bits & Pieces Love & Words" will capture readers' attention with its universality, enthusiastic language and spiritual tone, the author says.

An excerpt from "Bits & Pieces Love & Words":

"Increase the broadness in oneself, with an ability
to absorb the emotions of daily life in
rational calmness while decreasing the level of
expectations from others to you.
You are only you and they will forever only be
them of their own being, viewing existence
from within their own perspective realms.
Your enemy is yourself...
Anxiety is created by the self-keeper
of a narrow spectrum, the "You" of you within..."
