Exploring what she describes as a persistence of inequity in the workplace, Angel offers a woman’s perspective in “what is still perceived as a male profession” through a series of vignettes, lessons and appendices. Angel provides an analytical critique of American culture at large, and argues that her experiences in the medical field are indicative of what is a larger, systemic abuse of power.
“Women want diverse, moral leadership and decision-making bodies,” says Angel, adding that she hopes to inspire readers to work toward impacting change. “Action is required to promote understanding and legislate equality for all citizens.”
