Fit2Go food pioneer Cesar Quintero has masterfully blended his passion for business and a decade of restaurant industry experience into his first book The Profit Recipe, Top Restaurant Trends and How To Use Them to Boost Your Margins, which was just announced today.

In The Profit Recipe, Mr. Quintero shares his entrepreneurial experiences and life lessons from the past 10 years, including his early identification of the significant shift taking place in the restaurant industry which allowed him to adapt and succeed in these troubled times for the industry. He further discusses the continued evolution of the restaurant business, as illustrated by the recent large investments and capital raise from companies like Munchery, Blue Apron, Grubhub and Chipotle.

Mr. Quintero shares the struggles he endured over his years building and growing Fit2Go,in hopes of helping the next generation of "foodpreneurs" navigate a successful career and learn from his missteps. The book provides real world guidance and a step-by-step guide to anyone in the restaurant business on how to differentiate their products from the crowd and take advantage of current trends that industry giants have not caught onto yet.

One key to Mr. Quintero's success was developing the right team and systems he could depend on, which eventually allowed him to relinquish control of his businesses' daily operations. This enabled him to more effectively channel his energies on his expansion model.

"By confusing keeping busy with productivity, I was acting as a control freak and not moving Fit2Go forward," said Quintero. "After stepping back and focusing ON my business instead of IN my business, I was able to develop processes and systems that helped my employees and managers deliver a consistently excellent product and service every time."

Not only were Quintero's team and systems able to deliver a consistent product, but the company's Gross Profit improved by 16% and Net Profit tripled within one year.

Over time, the systems evolved into a software platform, Fit2Go DS, which restaurants could run on the cloud to measure key performance areas and track results and trends. The program has been a huge key to evaluating and leveraging the most current shifts in the food industry.

One restaurant consultant said of The Profit Recipe: "This dynamic, fun and quick-read book should be REQUIRED for food business owners. The Profit Recipe presents a major paradigm shift in the way restaurants can better utilize their assets and target a wider customer base without major investment."

Earlier this month, Quintero was quoted in The Miami Herald about his research in the market shift, saying: "By 2020, 70 percent of food customers will be off premises. Why? Because millennials don't all want to cook, but they still want to eat healthy and they want it delivered. You don't have to leave your house or office."
