Penelope Price is new to picturesque Pacific Grove, California. Now that the Great War is over, she looks forward to setting herself up as a tearoom owner and living quietly; but when her shop's opening day preparations are cut short by the discovery of a backroom murder and she is charged as the primary suspect, she finds her hard-won idyllic life thrown into disarray. With the help of her ragtag workforce, Penelope labors to ferret out the killer and prove her innocence. As the case is solved, the truth of the matter is revealed along with a few buried truths about the town's residents and secret society. Throughout the process, Penelope learns she has a taste for both business and adventure, and perhaps even romance.

"One Lump or Two" launches on Monday, 18 January, 2016 in paperback and Kindle formats. An online release party will take place all that day with prizes awarded throughout the affair. An in-person tea party celebrating the launch is scheduled for Sunday, 31 January, 2016 at 3pm at Pamela's Tearoom in Garden Grove, CA. $15 includes a paperback book. Afternoon tea is complimentary.

"I love it!" says artist Sanndi Thompson. "I did not suspect that [so-and-so] was the killer, so that was great, I didn't see that one coming. I enjoyed this story very much. I like that you managed to do a murder mystery and keep it non-gruesome, and non-violent. Love all the people in it; they seem very real! Fun read. I was up till midnight last night. I couldn't stop reading it!"

The first in The Tea Cozy Mysteries series, "One Lump or Two" is a 100,000 word cozy mystery set in idyllic Pacific Grove, California, just after World War I. Upcoming sequels include Reading Between the Leaves and Objets d'Artifice - stories that go deeper into the mystique and legacy of original antiques store owner Aunt Dorothea and the mysteries surrounding several of the valuables still housed in the shop.

Writer Bonnie Ramsburg says, "I love the interaction between all the characters! I loved it, loved it and can't wait for more!"

The series is set to serve as the middle installment of a more expansive project involving three generations of female protagonists, beginning with suffragette Dorothea Tate's Marvels & Mysteries set in the 1890s and ending with Patsy Charleville's Social Bluebook Murders set in the 1950s.

Author JS Devivre is a former tearoom owner who currently pens The Tea Traveller's Constant Companion tearoom guidebook series. She works as Headmistress of Siren School and creates Cup of Mystery whodunit tea parlour games for the Tea Travellers Societea.

"This is a world I want to live in and return to many times. So looking forward to the next installments and crossing my fingers it's made into a TV series!" ~Actress Michelle Gil
