Financial Advisor Pegs Destination Wealth Management as One of the Top...  Image Walnut Creek, California-based Destination Wealth Management stands among the top 150 Registered Investment Advisors throughout the United States, according to the recent RIA Survey and Ranking 2018, released by Financial Advisor magazine*. The findings were published in the July 2018 issue.

The trade publication, which is published nationally by Charter Financial Publishing Network and features a circulation of 110,000, ranked Registered Investment Advisors from around the country according to year-end 2017 assets. Destination Wealth Management landed at No. 136 with roughly $2.25 billion in assets under management.

The recent announcement by Financial Advisor is the latest in a string of honors bestowed on Destination Wealth Management by industry publications. Earlier this year, Financial Times included Destination Wealth Management in its yearly list of 300 Top Registered Investment Advisors2.

*Financial Times 300 (FT 300):
The 2014 Financial Times Top 300 Registered Investment Advisors is an independent listing produced by the Financial Times (June,2014). The FT 300 is based on data gathered from RIA firms, regulatory disclosures, and the FT’s research. As identified by the FT, the listing reflected each practice’s performance in six primary areas, including assets under management, asset growth, compliance record, years in existence, credentials and accessibility. Neither the RIA firms nor their employees pay a fee to the Financial Times in exchange for inclusion in the FT 300.

Destination Wealth Management was included in the Financial Times 300 Top Registered Investment Advisers list for 2018. Over 760 firms were considered for inclusion in the Financial Times 300 (FT 300) list. To be considered RIA’s must meet the following minimum criteria: manage at least $300 million in assets under management as of 12/31/17; no more than 75% of its practice’s assets be institutional; and the RIA must be independent.

The FT 300 ranking is conducted independently by the Financial Times, in partnership with Ignites Research, a subsidiary of the Financial Times that conducts research and analysis on the asset management industry. DWM did not pay a fee to apply or be listed in the FT 300 report.

The Financial Times generates an internal score for each applicant based on six broad factors (AUM, AUM Growth Rate, Years of Experience, Compliance Record, Industry Certifications, and Online Accessibility). AUM comprises approximately 65% to 70% of each advisor’s score. Ranking on this list is not representative of any one client’s experience and is not indicative of DWM’s future performance.
