Rick Thomson loses his way on the path of spiritual development only to be guided back by a helpful mentor in author TR's new book "From Hell to Health: Rick Thomson's Story" (published by iUniverse).

TR believes there are five phases of spiritual development. "From Hell to Health" details phase four - the most challenging phase of all. Rick struggles to find his purpose in his life, but lacks the spiritual guidance.

Feeling isolated, Rick turns to negative coping mechanisms to deal with the pain and confusion he feels. When he meets Peter, Rick finally finds the mentor he needs. Peter guides Rick through his spiritual development needs and helps unlock his God-given potential.

TR chose to communicate his message through fiction rather than nonfiction because he felt readers will better connect with a story played out for them. He hopes his readers will see that God has a personal interest and purpose for them.

"Most books dealing with the subject matter in my book are non-fictional and they present those subjects from a logical or rational viewpoint," TR says. "This book uses story as a medium for people to see and feel their way to the answers."
