A former military brat, American diplomat, United States Marine Corps crypto-linguist, executive at a multinational company and the single mother of a terminally-ill son are the wide-ranging titles that author Eolane has held throughout her life.

In her new fictional series, "The Jewel Chronicles," Eolane chronicles her life's story, intertwined with paranormal and sci-fi activity. "Whisper in the Wind," the first book in the series, highlights her first government assignment after leaving home. The latest book in the series, "Choices," follows her move from Washington, DC to the southwest and details a world in which Middle Eastern culture meets Mexican American culture in Texas. Eolane's son Travis, who was born quadriplegic, is the artist and illustrator for all current and future books within "The Jewel Chronicle" series.

"Travis was really my motivation for writing the book," Eolane said. "The partnership between us gave him the much-needed spark to keep fighting and to continue his artwork which he had essentially abandoned."

Throughout her world travels and demanding career, Eolane managed to persevere while struggling to maintain a balance between work and providing a loving/caring environment for her son as he painfully progressed through his daily medical treatments and therapies.

"It was always a challenge, but my son is my hero," Eolane said. "Watching him slowly and painstakingly break through the serious medical obstacles impeding his health made me realize I also could do anything with enough determination and self-confidence. It is because of him that we are at this point in our lives."
