People would often think that they are lesser than who they really are. They fail to reach their highest potentials and explore their capabilities. In the Bible, gifts and talents are not just given to some but to all. According to author Emmanuel Igwe, people are called to use those gifts in service of others. They are instruments and tools that help build the kingdom of God on earth.

In his new publication, You Are More Than You Think, Igwe encourages the readers to follow the footsteps of the cockroach, in which it is not afraid to dance and express its given gift even in the face of danger. He derives the image of the cockroach from a famous proverb in Africa:

"A cockroach knows how to sing and dance, but it is the hen that prevents it from performing its art during the day."

In You Are More Than You Think, reasons that can explain why the gifts that can transport each one into their personal destinies don't readily flow (such as obstacles and hindrances) are unraveled. Igwe reminds his readers that ideas alone do not produce results. Actions do.

God has showered men with gifts that they can use to cope with life. This book invites questions such as this: Is it possible for one to change the purpose of God with his or her gifts? One, for instance, may have chosen to be a missionary but prefer a more glamorous job or position. Is it possible under such circumstance, that one has changed one's purpose and made Jesus angry enough to turn over tables in one's temple? It is a sobering thought among many in Igwe's wisdom-filled book that is well-acquainted with the world. Readers are invited to read on and find or make their own decisions or conclusions.
