Emili LeBlanc marks her publishing debut with the release of "Dauntless: A Story of Crime, Punishment, and Love" (published by Balboa Press), a novel about overcoming adversity in life through faith, willpower and love, to achieve safety, sanity and well-being.

"Dauntless" is about a woman whose life was changed by one decision and who would spend many years and be faced with many trials on her journey to reclaim her life. The story includes people who were along for that journey, for better or worse. It concludes with the main character finally overcoming the adversity in her life that was caused by that one decision she made so long ago.

Uniquely, the book uses no name for the main character because "I want the reader to see the author as the main character who writes this story in first person," LeBlanc says. "It is important that the author/main character be the voice of the story because she is best able to recount her experiences."

"Dauntless" is offered to anyone who knows they must reclaim their lives; and to survivors, to reassure them that they did the right thing in fighting for and winning their freedom to love, live, breathe, be independent and thrive.

"I want my readers to know that we are all blessed with strong survival instincts and intrinsic motivation to overcome that which attempts to demean or diminish us. I want my readers to know their 'Dauntless' Spirit," LeBlanc shares.

About the Author
Emili LeBlanc has been an avid journal keeper and reader since she was first able to read and write. In college, while earning her degree in business, she had written many research papers on various topics that have ranged from religion, to psychology, to international and domestic business practices. She takes this experience, her love for books and storytelling into her first published work of fiction; "Dauntless" is a collection of events that invite the reader into a life that could have been their own or the life of someone they love. Breaking away from the structured compositions required by university, LeBlanc takes her writing to a level of storytelling with moving dialogue and voice that flows naturally and conversationally that intends to bring the reader into the mind and the life of a person who is "Dauntless."
