Ngugama says he has experienced many mysterious events throughout his life which he cannot explain. He opens up about these occurrences in "My Life: Mysteries and Achievements," giving readers a raw look into his recollection of the experiences.
The book also explores Ngugama's role in political struggles. Specifically, he shares details about his fight against racial discrimination in his homeland, Rhodesia, or Zimbabwe, as it is known now. Finally, Ngugama retraces his career path, discussing his background in senior positions in government and high-profile business organizations.
An excerpt from "My Life: Mysteries and Achievements":
"Management needs to view a worker, regardless of rank, status or race, as a complete human being with set beliefs about and attitudes towards the legitimacy of systems of authority. Workers need self-actualization, and they have some perception of how they ought to play their roles as workers, parents and members of an economic class or political organization. Management should therefore avoid the danger of overemphasizing workers' allegiance to their employers and instead appreciate the diverse roles workers are expected to play in the broader community."
