In her new children's storybook, "My Little Red Mittens" (published by AuthorHouse), author Elizabeth Dovidija-Budney draws from her experiences in writing poetry, crafting a story to entertain young readers.

"My Little Red Mittens" is the story of a little girl who receives a pair of special mittens from her grandmother. In rhythmic rhyme, "My Little Red Mittens" takes young readers through her exciting day with her new gift.

According to Dovidija-Budney, children associate rhyme with memory. "This is a fun and helpful book that helps children with memory skills," she says.

Young readers will, Dovidija-Budney hopes, relate to the story's protagonist. "I think everyone had red mittens at some point," she says. "And kids that wear red mittens will have the same mittens as the person in the storybook. They can pretend that they are her."
