Child abuse can damage a person for life. Mitchell shows the difficulties of healing, and how faith and forgiveness can overcome obstacles to recovery. Edith Mitchell was born and raised in New Brunswick, N.J. and is the mother to five children and the sister to three bothers. She is married to Douglas Mitchell and currently resides in Perth Amboy, N.J. She absolutely adores reading and writing. Writing has always been her release even as a child she would jot things down randomly. She is a member of Rescue House of Prayer and she often attends the Cathedral Baptist Church in Perth Amboy. She has a great interest in volunteering for domestic violence and contributing to the diabetes foundation in any way possible in memory of her dear mother Carrie Richardson.
