As the director of The Etiquette School of Northern Illinois, author Edith King Vosefski knows just how important good manners can be. Her new book, "Marianna's Little Book of Manners for Children" (published by AuthorHouse), introduces basic etiquette and manners to children through a relatable story packed with fun and valuable information.

Marianna Love is a beautiful, charming little girl, but her bad manners are notorious. When the noisy neighbor Mrs. Proper invites Mrs. Love and Marianna over for tea, Mrs. Proper is appalled by Marianna's poor table manners. Mrs. Proper convinces the other mothers of the neighborhood not to let their children play with Marianna, leaving her lonely and sad.

With her aunt Paige to help her, Marianna sets out to change her bad habits and manners so her friends will play with her again. Readers will learn along with Marianna as Aunt Paige teaches her how to make polite introductions, behave at the table, write thank-you notes and act politely in other social settings.

"Marianna's Little Book of Manners for Children" takes an enjoyable and engaging approach to many different aspects of etiquette. Vosefski hopes her book will be a useful teaching tool for parents and teachers.

"I believe etiquette can be made fun and interesting to children," Vosefski writes. "Even little boys who were forced to attend etiquette school by their mothers and don't want to learn 'this stuff' end up proud of themselves and teach their family and friends."
